Company of Heroes 2 might be seen as an old game by now, but the team at Relic continues to serve the multiplayer community built around the World War II strategy experience by launching a new patch designed to eliminate the On Me exploit that some gamers were abusing recently.

The team says that matches involving the United States forces should be now more balanced and more changes to the faction were made, visible to those who click on the button at the end of this blog.

Relic also states in the official announcement that it is “pulling data surrounding this exploit and are determining how this will be addressed. Once our investigation is complete, we will provide a further update with our community.”

The studio is also working to create a clear policy on using exploits in Company of Heroes 2, which is necessary because the title aims to attract an eSports audience and needs to make sure that the playing field is level.

Cheating has been a problem for the strategy game since it was first launched and Relic has always maintained that it will move as fast as possible to fix issues with the title and to ban those who abuse it.

The most recent content associated with Company of Heroes 2 is the Ardennes Assault campaign, which has a set of cool strategic map mechanics.
