Video game developer Sledgehammer Games and publisher Activision are focused on the upcoming Championship Finals for this year's major tournament for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and want to get as many fans interested in the big weekend action as possible.

The newly released trailer for the competition is designed to show players the kind of excitement the title can generate among eSports professionals, 32 of whom will battle for the title of World Champion and a big slice of the 1 million dollar (930,000 Euro) prize pool.

All the action will take place starting on Friday, March 27, in Los Angeles, and gamers all over the world will be able to watch the matches using the Twitch service.

On Sunday, all those who tune in will also be able to get a look at gameplay taken from the new Ascendance downloadable content pack for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, which is set to be introduced on the Xbox One and the Xbox 360 on March 31.

Gamers will get access to four new multiplayer maps, a new Infection episode for the Exo Zombies cooperative mode and a new playlist which allows them to use the grapple mechanics in their matches.
