Bloodborne is getting close to its release, which kicks off tomorrow, March 24, and ahead of that, Sony has rolled out the initial pre-load for digital owners on PS4, which weighs in at 5.04GB, as well as a 2.69GB day one patch.

Bloodborne starts officially rolling out onto the PS4 tomorrow, March 24, in North America, followed by March 25, in most of Europe, and continuing with the rest of the world in the following days on the PS4 platform.

Those who bought the game via the online PS Store can now start pre-loading some of the game's necessary files, starting with an initial package that weighs in at 5.04GB, according to data offered by a user on Reddit.

Besides the initial pre-load, which is just a fragment of the full 25.3GB transfer, the day-one update is also available on the PSN, and occupies 2.69GB.

In total, Bloodborne needs around 41GB of free space on the PS4's hard drive, so make sure you have enough room before attempting to install and play the new role-playing experience.

It's unclear exactly what's included in the day-one patch, but you can expect to hear something official from Sony and developer From Software in the next few days.
