The system will be up in a matter of minutes

The development team at Visceral Games and publisher Electronic Arts are announcing that they are now performing a restart of the Battlefield Hardline official servers for both the PlayStation 4 from Sony and the Xbox One from Microsoft.

The announcement is made by the official Twitter account of the game and explains that all players who are currently engaged with the shooter will be initially disconnected from both single and multiplayer matches and that the systems should be then back up online in a few minutes.

The two companies are not saying why they are performing the server restart, but it is probably designed to allow them to introduce some small changes to the infrastructure and improve the overall experience for all those involved.

Since Battlefield Hardline was launched, a few serious bugs have cropped up, including one which does not allow players to progress in the single-player story.

But most of the community is currently reporting that the title is running well on all platforms, so the restart is probably mostly needed to keep the multiplayer modes running smoothly.

Visceral Games has not said when a first full patch for its title will be introduced.

Battlefield Hardline is set to be offered in Europe on March 19.
