Video game publisher Electronic Arts is announcing that, starting on January 29, all gamers who are subscribing to the EA Access service on the Xbox One will be able to get access to the Second Assault expansion pack for Battlefield 4.

This offer is active until February 28 and once gamers redeem the new content, it stays free for them forever.

The DLC for Battlefield 4 has four maps from the third game in the series remade using the new engine and featuring unique Levolution mechanics.

The EA Access service is at the moment only offered on the Xbox One and allows gamers to access a Vault filled with free video games as long as they are willing to pay a monthly subscription.

Those who use it will also get six-hour-long trials for all major Electronic Arts releases, and there are also price cuts and other promotions offered.

At the moment, the publisher and developer Visceral Games are working on the finishing touches for Battlefield: Hardline, which will be introduced on March 17 and is designed to capture the imagination of the fans, while DICE is working on Star Wars: Battlefront and on a fifth full title in the series, which is expected to only be offered in 2016.
