The team in charge of the Xbox Live experience at Microsoft is confirming that the service is at the moment affected by problems when it comes to both the sign-in process and some content acquisition, especially for FIFA 15.

The information comes from the official status page, and gamers should use it to get updates on the evolution of the problems and see when full functionality is restored.

Xbox Live is important for both the Xbox One and the 360 and Microsoft is trying to make sure that it runs without problems for as long as possible.

Both the Microsoft service and the PlayStation Network from Sony have been affected by DDoS attacks earlier in the year, but the two companies are saying that they are working to make sure that their level of vulnerability is decreased.

Xbox Live is becoming more important as the company is seeking to create a more unified gaming universe that includes both the Xbox One and PCs that are running Windows 10.

Rumors are also saying that Microsoft will use it in the future to introduce a new application environment for its home console, which will be more open and will attract a higher number of creators.
