Microsoft has confirmed during its Xbox at Gamescom 2015 press event that the Xbox One console is going to receive its Windows 10 operating system, together with the new user interface, in November. What's more, the backwards compatibility feature will also go live on November 10.

The Xbox One got quite a few big announcements at E3 2015 back in June, and now, at Gamescom 2015, Microsoft returns with more details about some of the most important upcoming things for the console.

After rumors about a September debut, Microsoft confirms that the Windows 10 operating system for Xbox One is going to come out this November. Alongside the new capabilities, Windows 10 for Xbox One is also going to include the redesigned user interface that was revealed to the world at E3 in June.

While a concrete date for this major update isn't available, Microsoft has confirmed that the long-awaited backwards compatibility mechanic is going to arrive on Xbox One on November 10.

What's more, going forward, all Games with Gold titles for the Xbox 360 will be available via backwards compatibility for Xbox One, without having fans to vote for their inclusion.

Expect more details about Windows 10 on Microsoft's console soon enough.
