Fans might be disappointed that the long-awaited Uncharted 4 is not arriving this year, but Sony is determined to make sure that they are interested in the coming Nathan Drake Collection and the updated versions of the previous three titles that it offers.

A new article on PS Blog is offering more images taken from the Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and a look at the upgraded graphics and gameplay in action.

Sony says that the improved hardware of the PlayStation 4 means that the game looks very good at 1080p resolution and also delivers smoother and cleaner action because of the higher frame rate.

The company adds, "The studio is upgrading character models, environment textures, lighting, and special effects across the board, bringing all three games as close to visual modernity as possible while ensuring they remain true to their original creative direction."

Uncharted: Nathan Drake Collection will be offered on the PS4 before the end of summer.

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is supposed to arrive at some point in the first quarter of next year.

Naughty Dog says the game will offer a new take on the classic gameplay of the series and will offer a new Nathan Drake story with more emotional elements and a satisfying conclusion.
