The team at Maxis working on The Sims 4 is announcing that it is working on a Spooky Stuff downloadable content pack for the game, which is set to be launched on September 29 and will introduce a range of content associated with Halloween.

The studio says that gamers will be able to "transform your Sim’s home with ghoulishly fun decorations, including creepy paintings, spider webs, and all manner of tattered furniture. Want to temporarily (or… permanently) turn your Sim’s home into a creepy house of horrors? Go for it."

The two new objects coming in the DLC for The Sims 4 are the Spooky Candy Bowl and the Pumpkin Carving Station, which enable gamers to create jack-o-lanterns that ghosts can then place on their heads to haunt the living.

Spooky party decorations are included as well and gamers can also cook up three new recipes with a Halloween twist: the Eyeball Cheese Plate, the Zombie Cake, and the Spooky Cookies.

A range of costumes are also added to The Sims 4, including pirates, ninjas, super llamas and fairies, which can be worn for special occasions or all year round.

There are many fans of the series who still believe that the new installment does not offer the same depth as the older titles, but the teams at Maxis and Electronic Arts are determined to support the title in the long term with themed DLC.
