The company might deliver a new look at the story

The development team at Bandai Namco in charge of Tekken 7 is saying that it plans to make a big announcement about the video game on July 7, which is designed to celebrate the fact that the series was first delivered to gamers 20 years ago.

The official Twitter announcement from the company does not offer hints about the upcoming reveal, but it is presumably something bigger than simply the announcement of a new character or stage.

Tekken 7 will take the series back to its classic mechanics, but the developers are introducing two entirely new features, called Rage Art and Power Crush, designed to offer players more options depending on the health of their characters and the tactics of the enemy.

The developers are still tweaking the core mechanics in order to make sure that the fighting game offers a balanced experience.

Apparently, Bandai Namco plans to introduce a much darker story than in previous installments, and the graphics of the title are powered by the most recent version of the Unreal Engine.

Tekken 7 will be offered on the PlayStation 4 from Sony, the Xbox One from Microsoft and the PC at some point in 2016 and is already offered in arcades in Japan since March 18, 2015.
