The new release supports Microsoft Windows 10 platforms

Just now, Realtek has announced the availability of its 2.79 HD Audio driver, which is compatible with both 32- and 64-bit variants of Microsoft’s Windows Vista, 7, 8, and 8.1 operating systems, as well as with Windows 10 platforms.

Since other OSes might also be suitable for this release (such as Windows XP), you should know that installing Realtek’s update on platforms other than the aforementioned ones isn’t recommended. Doing so might lead to various system malfunctions.

In addition to that, as there is no changelog available whatsoever, in order to find out what the changes really are, you must apply the present version on your computer.

To do so, save and run the appropriate package suitable for your OS’ bit variant (available for 32- and 64-bit architectures), wait for all files required for the installation to be extracted, and follow all instructions displayed on screen for a complete upgrade.

Moreover, once completed, don’t forget to give the wizard permission to reboot your computer so that all changes can take effect properly. If this task isn’t requested, however, it would be a good idea to carry it out manually.

Therefore, download Realtek HD Audio Driver 2.79, apply it on your device, and check our website as often as possible in order to stay “updated one minute ago.” Also, don’t forget to tell us if any improvements are observed after the upgrade.
