The new firmware update fixes issue with Channel Faders

Pioneer has rolled out a new firmware package developed for its DDJ-SX2 performance DJ controller, namely version 1.06, which resolves the issue where Multiple Channel Faders didn’t work properly when used at the same time.

Thus, if you consider upgrading your controller, first of all, you must have Java Runtime Environment, or JRE, installed on your computer. Secondly, it would be a good idea to check the unit’s current firmware version and make sure that it isn’t either newer or matching the present release.

Last but not least, it’s imperative that you have previously applied the controller’s driver so that your computer can easily recognize the device. If not, download Pioneer DDJ-SX2 DJ Controller Driver 1.002 and install it on your system.

Now, if all these steps are checked, save and unzip the downloadable archive, turn the DDJ unit off and remove any cables attached to it, and connect it to your computer via USB. Afterward, power on the device while holding “Shift” and “Sync” buttons on the left, and release them after ensuring that Level Meter LEDs are flashing.

After approximately 10 seconds, you will be prompted with an update-related window at which you must choose “Start” in order for the upgrade process to initiate. If selected, simply wait for a couple of minutes so that the controller can do its job.

That said, download Pioneer DDJ-SX2 DJ Controller Firmware 1.06, carefully follow all steps described above, and apply the latest update to benefit from these new changes.
