Amazon has made available its new 5.7.2 firmware package developed for its 7th generation Kindle, Kindle Voyage, and Kindle Paperwhite devices, as well as with the 6th generation Kindle Paperwhite.

In terms of changes, this update adds a new Home screen layout that provides access to recent books, Reading List on Goodreads, and personalized recommendations from the Kindle Store.

Moreover, the devices will also benefit from a new Book Recommendations feature that allows choosing favorite genres and rating books, as well as from an additional Quick Actions menu that can quickly turn on Airplane Mode, sync your Kindle, manage your light settings, and more.

When it comes to installation, first go to Home > Menu > Settings > Menu > Device Info and check to see if the current firmware isn’t newer or matching this release. If all is ok, save the downloadable .bin file on your computer, and connect your Kindle to it

Now, transfer the saved package to the root folder of your Kindle’s internal storage, go to Home > Menu > Settings > Menu > Update Your Kindle, and tap “Ok” to initiate the installation. While upgrading, the device will show a “Your Kindle Is Updating” message on its display, and then reboot once completed.

Therefore, from the links below, follow the one best describing your device model, carefully apply it by taking into account all aspects above, and stay "updated one minute ago."
