Nikon has rolled out two new firmware packages targeted at D4S and D750 digital cameras, namely version 1.30 and 1.10, respectively, which add a new external recording control option to the HDMI item.

With this new addition, the models mentioned above will support the AtomOS Open Protocol for the Atomos SHOGUN, NINJA2, and NINJA BLADE recorders, which allows camera controls to be used to start and stop recording.

When it comes to fixes, both updates remove the bug that didn't allow the shutter to be released when taking movie live view photos, and fix the HDR image recording issue. Also, the 4 seconds static noise heard on audio recorded during movie live view is removed.

Moreover, the cameras won’t have problems processing photos via RETOUCH MENU when using a negative value for NEF (RAW) option. Also, various other changes, as highlighted in the Release Notes of each download, are implemented.

Regarding installation, save and unzip the appropriate package for your camera and OS (available for both Windows and Mac OS), copy the .bin file to a formatted memory card, and insert it into your imaging device.

Afterwards, just go to Setup Menu > Firmware Version, follow all instructions displayed on-screen and do not forget to remove and format the memory card once the new firmware is applied.

That said, download Nikon D4S Camera Firmware C:1.30 or download Nikon D750 Camera Firmware C:1.10, take into account all aspects described above, and regularly check our website to stay “updated one minute ago.”
