The new release fixes a body bug and the White Balance issue

Samsung has just provided its NX1 owners with a new firmware package, namely version 1.22, which fixes the smart camera’s body bug where 24fps and 23.98fps movie recordings would encounter horizontal noise, and more.

Specifically speaking, if this new update is applied on Samsung’s 4K camera, the device would also get the White Balance > Custom Set > Adjust option disabled in Movie STBY mode, as well as various other minor bug fixed.

When it comes to installing firmware 1.22, first of all go to Menu > Settings > Device Information, and make sure the currently installed version isn’t either newer or matching this release.

If it’s not, save and extract the downloadable archive, initialize a memory card using the NX1 unit (must have at least 1GB free space), and transfer firmware file “NX1.bin” onto its root directory.

Now, ensure the camera’s battery is fully charged, connect the memory card while Samsung’s imaging device is turned off, power on the NX1 unit, and go to Menu > Settings > Device Information > Software Update > Body Firmware Update.

At this point, simply agree with the “Body Upgrade?” message, and wait patiently for the process to complete. Also, bear in mind that the camera will first check firmware 1.22, reboot, and then initiate the installation, thus make sure you don’t cut off the power.

To sum up, download Samsung NX1 Camera Firmware 1.22, follow all aforementioned steps in order to successfully upgrade your device, and enjoy your newly-improved imaging unit.
