The present update fixes an issue with Live View and USB

Phase One has announced the availability of firmware 5.20.1 developed for fll its CCD sensor-based digital back models, namely IQ140, IQ160, IQ180, IQ260, IQ260 Achromatic, and IQ280, which includes fixes for Live View and USB, as well as improvements.

Specifically speaking, this present update fixes a possible problem with missing ISO sub menu, as well as the bug that sneaked along with Phase One IQ Digital Back Firmware 5.19, where using Live View with USB would encounter various issues.

In addition to that, version 5.20.1 sets ISO setting to the lowest value in the range by default, and improves the new camera “A-series” mode functionality.

As for installing this release, save the downloadable firmware file onto an initialized CF memory card (must be formatted by the device), and insert it into your digital back while it’s powered off.

Now, simply turn on your device, go to Menu > Firmware > Update Firmware, and carefully follow all instructions displayed on screen for a complete and successful installation.

If for any reasons, this method doesn’t work or isn’t desired, you can also use Phase One Firmware Updater 3.3.1 (available for both Windows and Mac OS X platforms) to perform the upgrade.

That being said, download Phase One IQ Digital Back Firmware 5.20.1 for your specific device model, apply it, and enjoy the improvements brought by this new release. Also, constantly check our website in order to stay “updated one minute ago.”
