This update hopes to resolve Teamviewer-related problems

Intel has just announced the availability of a new Iris and HD Graphics driver suitable for some of its NUC boards and kits that include a 4th-gen Core CPU, namely version 10.18.14.4072 beta, which hopes to resolve various Teamviewer-related issues.

Specifically speaking, when turned on without a monitor attached (headless mode), compatible NUCs couldn’t be accessed remotely using proper software, such as TightVNC, RealVNC, UltraVNC, or Teamviewer.

When it comes to supported devices, this update can be applied on Intel’s D34010WYB and D54250WYB NUC boards, as well as on its D34010WYK and D54250WYK NUC kits powered by one of Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 operating systems (either bit variant).

Moreover, these NUCs must also contain a 4th-generation Intel Core processors with HD Graphics 4200, 4400, 4600, or 5000, Iris Graphics 5100, or Iris Pro Graphics 5200 in order for the package to be valid.

Still, if you intend to upgrade to this version, don’t forget that it is a beta release. But if everything works properly, Intel highlights that it will provide its users with a stable package sometime in January 2015.

However, assuming that you want to apply it, simply save and extract the proper package, run the available setup, follow all instructions, and perform a system reboot upon completion to make sure all changes take effect.

Therefore, if you are eager to apply this version and can’t wait for a stable release, download Intel NUC Graphics Driver 10.18.14.4072 Beta for your specific device model, apply it, and enjoy your newly-improved Next Unit Computing device.
