Intel has just rolled out a new version of its PROSet/Wireless drivers, namely 17.14.0, which maintains compatibility with Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 operating systems, both 32- and 64-bit variants.

This new release consists of several downloadable packages containing drivers-only and drivers with WiFi software for both end users (.exe files) and IT administrators (.zip archives).

Specifically speaking, Intel has provided 6 drivers-only and 6 driver-with WiFi software executables (one for each OS and bit variant) recommended for end-users, such as home users or business customers who don‘t need advanced tools.

In addition to that, the producer has also made available 6 drivers-only archive compatible with each bit variant of the compatible OSes, as well as 2 drivers-with WiFi software archives (one for each 32- and 64-bit architectures) targeted at IT administrators.

Moreover, you also have the possibility to download the bundle archive that includes all files required for IT admins and is compatible with all aforementioned platforms. However, bear in mind that its size is over 300 mb, so it would be a good idea to use a download manager.

When it comes to the valid components, each package is compatible with certain Wireless-N, Dual Band Wireless-N, and Dual Band Wireless-AC adapters, as well as with some Centrino Advanced-N, Ultimate-N, Wireless-N devices.

Still, check the description of each file in order to make sure your system configuration is supported by that specific package.

With this in mind, download Intel PROSet/Wireless Driver 17.16.0 or download Intel PROSet/Wireless Driver 17.16.0 for IT Administrators, select the appropriate driver for your OS, and apply it on your computer.
