Buffalo has just rolled out its 2.33 firmware version developed for AirStation Extreme AC1900 router models (WXR-1900DHP), which fixes the DHCP server that stopped when receiving an illegal request from LAN, and includes several other changes.

When it comes to new features, Buffalo’s update adds an option to improve connectivity with some wired devices, and hides the “Network Devices” section when the device is in access point or wireless bridge mode.

In addition to that, SSL 3.0 is now disabled due to the POODLE vulnerability (CVE-2014-3566), which makes unavailable “Guest Accounts” and “WebAccess” functionalities for Sony’s PSP 1000 to 3000 models.

As for fixes, this new release resolves numerous issues spotted on certain settings, such as with IP addresses not updating, IPv6 routing not working correctly, and disconnections encountered while establishing an IPv4 over IPv6 connection.

Moreover, version 2.33 fixes various issues with Wireless Bridge mode, websites not being displayed properly, wireless connections with an iOS 8 device, as well as numerous others that are detailed in the Release Notes below.

In terms of installation, simply save and unzip the downloadable archive, log into your router’s administration page, go to Advanced Settings > Admin > Update Firmware, click “Browse,” and select the newly-extracted “wxr_1900dhp_us_233” file.

Now, select “Update Firmware” to initiate the upgrade, and wait patiently for the process to finish.

That being said, download Buffalo WXR-1900DHP Router Firmware 2.33, apply it on your AirStation, and constantly check our website in order to stay “updated one minute ago.”
