Buffalo has just outed a new firmware package compatible with its WHR-300HP2 wireless router, namely version 1.70, which resolves the bug that sometimes prevented iOS devices from connecting to the AirStation, corrects some text in Settings, and more.

This new update also fixes a certain issue encountered after deleting PPPoE connections where PPPoE couldn’t be reconfigured, resolves the snooping function that wouldn’t work occasionally, and allows setting the maximum number of forwarded ports.

In addition to that, firmware 1.70 removes the error that sometimes occurred even when information entered in routing settings was correct.

Last but not least, Buffalo’s team also managed to resolve a bug that prevented domain name from being sent to LAN-side devices using DHCP server function.

When it comes to installing this release, save and extract the downloadable archive, go to your router’s administration page (username and password should be requested), and select “Update AirStation Firmware.”

Now, click “Browse,” navigate and select firmware file “whr300hp2-170,” choose “Apply,” and wait for your device to perform the upgrade (about 6 minutes). Upon completion, the device’s LED will either blink green or turn off.

Even though the steps are easy, bear in mind not to reboot your router, close the browser, or interrupt the installation in any way. Doing so might cause serious malfunctions to your wireless device.

Therefore, download Buffalo WHR-300HP2 Router Firmware 1.70, take into account all aspects described above, upgrade your wireless unit, and constantly check our website in order to stay “updated one minute ago.”
