14 DAY TRIAL // Today, Amazon has announced the availability of several new firmware versions targeted at some of its Fire HD, Kindle, and Kindle Fire HD units, which include general improvements, performance enhancements, as well as bug fixes.

However, when it comes to the Kindle Fire HD and HDX units, their currently installed software build must be at least x.3.2.5. If it’s not, you should first apply that version (provided on the description page) and only afterwards update to the present release.
As for the installation process, simply save the appropriate package for your Amazon device model and carefully transfer it onto your unit’s internal storage (root directory) using a USB cable.
Now, depending on which e-reader you own, from its Settings menu, go to the System Updates section, and follow all instructions in order to successfully complete the upgrade.
