The SD28 unit receives Black&White video recording mode

ACMELL has rolled out new firmware packages developed for two of its action camera models, namely versions 20150421v01 and 2015031701, compatible with SD28 and S60 devices, respectively, which should improve overall performance and stability.

As the producer highlights, only its SD28 imaging unit receives support for Black & White video recording mode and 2-second time lapse feature, leaving the S60 camera without any release notes whatsoever.

In terms of installation, however, both devices share the same steps: first of all, make sure to initialize a compatible SD card using your camera, save the .bin file onto its root directory, and turn off your imaging unit.

Now, simply insert the SD card, connect the camera’s charging adapter, and power it on. Afterwards, follow all instructions displayed on-screen, as ACMELL’s product will guide you through each step.

Last but not least, since the camera will automatically reboot upon completion, it would be a good idea to check the currently installed firmware version and make sure the new update has been applied properly.

Even though it seems easy, bear in mind that, while installation is in progress, you mustn’t disconnect the battery, remove the SD memory card, or use the device’s buttons. Doing so will lead to an upgrade failure that might also cause serious device malfunctions.

That being said, download ACMELL SD28 Firmware 20150421v01 or download ACMELL S60 Firmware 2015031701, carefully apply it on your camera, and don’t forget to check our website constantly to stay up to speed with the latest releases.
