Olympus has made available a new firmware package developed for its E-M5 Mark II camera, namely version 1.1, which now allows fading out audio of movies created with My Clips editing, and improves the speed at which info is displayed when the camera is turned on.

In addition to that, if you upgrade your imaging unit to this release, the problem with noise appearing in images captured while shooting with High Res Shot will also be fixed.

When it comes to installation, get the downloadable package (available for both Mac and Windows platforms), make sure that your computer has access to the Internet, remove the memory card from the camera, and run the saved file.

Now connect the E-M5 Mark II unit to your computer, hit next, and wait for the updater to search for firmware 1.1. When found, press “Update,” then select “OK,” agree with the upgrade process, and wait for the firmware to be transferred and applied to your imaging device.

Keep in mind that, when the installation is completed, Olympus’ camera will show an “OK” message on its display. At this point you must click “Next” and “Close,” and afterwards remove the USB from your unit.

That being said, download Olympus E-M5 Mark II Camera Firmware 1.1, take into account all the above-mentioned aspects, and apply the new firmware in order to stay “update one minute ago.”
