The new release fixes some rare device freeze events

A few moments ago, Nikon has rolled out its 1.1 firmware version developed for COOLPIX S9700 high-power zoom cameras, which resolves some bugs that caused the device to hang in some occasional cases.

Specifically speaking, this new release fixes the event where the COOLPIX imaging unit would freeze when it was turned on after USB charging completed, or its lens would zoom in automatically and the camera would freeze when it was turned on.

Therefore, if you have been encountering these problems, save the appropriate package (available for both Windows and Mac OS platforms) and run it in order to extract the required firmware file.

Bear in mind that, backing up images or any important files stored in the camera’s internal memory before running the firmware update is highly recommended, as this data might be erased during the upgrade.

If all is OK, transfer this file onto a formatted SD memory card, insert it into the camera and turn it on, select Firmware Version, and follow all instructions displayed on-screen for a complete and successful installation.

Last but not least, once this task has been carried out, don’t forget to remove and format the memory card used in this process. Also, it would be a good idea to check the currently installed firmware and make sure it reads version 1.1.

That being said, download Nikon COOLPIX S9700 Camera Firmware 1.1, take into account all aforementioned aspects, and constantly check our website in order to stay “updated one minute ago.”
