ASRock has rolled out new BIOS packages compatible with several of its Intel X99 chipset-based motherboards, which improve M.2, PCIe card, and DRAM compatibility, and also adds NVME support.

To be clear about the supported devices, ASRock has provided BIOS 1.60 for its Fatal1ty X99 Professional models, as well as version 1.70 suitable for X99M Extreme4 and X99 WS motherboards.

In addition to that, the producer has also made available a 1.80 BIOS variant that is to be applied on its X99 OC Formula, X99 Extreme4, and Fatal1ty X99M Killer units.

Regardless of which board you own, bear in mind that ASRock has developed 3 archives for each BIOS version, each describing different flashing methods: Instant Flash, DOS, and Windows files.

If you intend to perform an update, you should take into account that the BIOS flash process is a risky task that should be carried out only by users who have the knowledge to successfully complete the installation.

Moreover, it is recommended that a BIOS be upgraded only when the newer version specifically resolves an issue that your board has been encountering. Also, it would be a good idea to perform this task using a UPS unit so that a power disruption causes no problems.

With this in mind, from the links below, follow the one that best describes your device model, carefully apply the BIOS on your motherboard, and constantly check our website to be aware when a newer version is available.
