The newly-released firmware is targeted at German users only

NETGEAR has just rolled out firmware version 3.0.0.16 compatible with its DGND3800B wireless router, which sets up the device in order to comply with new EN 300 328 and EN 301 893 rules and requirements.

In order to install this release, you should first know that it would be best if you performed the upgrade using a wired connection instead of a wireless one, since the latter can disconnect very easily.

With this in mind, write down all changes that have been made from the default values (you will need to re-enter them manually after the update), get and extract the downloadable archive, and log into the router’s administration page.

Now, go to Advanced Tab → Administration → Firmware Upgrade → Browse, navigate and select the firmware file from within the newly-created folder, click the “Upload” button, and allow the DGND3800B to apply the new version.

Even though it seems an easy process, bear in mind that, during the installation, powering off or rebooting the device can result into an update failure that might corrupt the router’s software or even render it unusable.

That being said, download NETGEAR DGND3800B Router Firmware 3.0.0.16, carefully apply it on your wireless unit, and check with our website as often as possible to stay “updated one minute ago.”
