So say 23 million users across the globe

We've recently summarized quite a compelling study from Skyhigh Networks, a report that details how users are using cloud services, some of their lacking security practices, and interesting trends.

The same report that gathered data from over 23 million users and over 2 billion cloud transactions also presented a ranking of the top 20 most popular cloud services, separated into enterprise (work) and consumer (home) solutions.

While you may think that home solutions were more popular, the situation is the opposite, with 72.9% of all cloud services identified by Skyhigh being from enterprise-level solutions. These solutions also accounted for 71.8% of the total data uploaded to the cloud, while consumer cloud solutions appeared in 27.1% of all transactions and accounted only for 28.2% of all the data.

Built-in security measures help set enterprise clouds apart

The fact that there's an 85% probability that the enterprise solutions will have top-shelf security controls in place, compared only to the 9.9% chances of finding similar tools inside the consumer-level cloud products, explains the above skew towards business solutions.

These numbers only cover the third quarter of 2015, but the report also highlights a growing trend that sees cloud services being adopted in more and more companies, and in greater numbers with each new passing quarter.

But let's take a look at some rankings, shall we?
