The entire promotion seems to be compromised

The Red Bull promotion for Destiny continues to offer extra content for those who are willing to get cans of the popular drink and use an offered code on the official website, despite the fact that more evidence shows that the entire system used to run it is very much compromised.

Red Bull, Bungie and Activision have not officially commented on the fact that some players were unable to get their extra content because their supposedly unique keys were no longer active, as someone else redeemed them.

Basically, a number of gamers were able to figure out how to generate promotion codes and then used them without restraint, which meant that others were unable to get their own rewards.

But we’ve never heard about the size of the problem until now.

DLCynicism quotes one code creator as saying that he made no less than 18,000 keys in a short period and then shared them with anyone who asked for one in various Twitch streams.

Such a big number of compromised keys will make it impossible for the Red Bull promotion to work as advertised, and the companies that organized it will have to issue an apology and compensate those who were unable to get their extra content.

The Taken King will fundamentally change Destiny

The Red Bull issues will have to be dealt with by Activision because Bungie is focused on the development of the new expansion for the social shooter, which is supposed to arrive on September 15 on all platforms.

The studio claims that the content that will be added is designed to make all the core mechanics feel new, with a massive new locations, the Oryx dreadnought, for gamers to explore.

There are also three new character subclasses, each of them with a unique special power, and the game is also getting a wide range of new weapons and items that can be used to improve the power Guardians.

The Taken King will also add extra strikes and will tweak the Iron Crucible Player versus Player experience.

Bungie has warned gamers that, as it prepares Destiny for the future, small problems, including more maintenance, will affect the shooter but says that it will work hard to eliminate all issues as soon as they appear.
