Cudy uses some NSFW language, discretion advised

Remember the two young vandals we talked about yesterday? Yes, the pair bending iPhones in the Apple store. They’re sorry now and they want the world to know.

Cudy, one of the two teenagers who filmed themselves bending an iPhone 6 plus in their local Apple Store, has recorded an audio apology and shared it on YouTube.

Contradictory statements

The guy seems fairly sincere in his apology, but at the same time he contradicts himself many times. For example, he claims the phone was extremely easy to bend, while later in the recording he can be heard saying it’s very hard to bend unless you really set your mind to it.

Being only 15, he also thinks it’s cool to use profanity every two sentences. Nothing wrong with that, we’ve all been there.

For those who still can’t piece together the actual reason behind their video, Cudy explains that he just wanted to prove once and for all that Unbox Therapy (the group that originally started the #bendgate fiasco) was not using fake iPhones and that it’s actually very easy to bend the iPhone 6 plus. Again, contradicting himself.

A fan of the YouTube channel that started it all

Cudy admits he likes Apple and their products and can’t make up his mind whether or not he cares that he’ll be banned from the store if he shows his face there again. His thinking is a bit agitated, but it’s understandable considering the circumstances.

He also relays that he’s a big fan of Unbox Therapy and their videos. If we were to guess the duo’s real reasons (or Cudy’s hidden intentions), we assume they were after some praise. Though Cudy vehemently denies it.

“We know we’re idiots”

The guy’s not shy to call himself names in his apology. He admits his actions were stupid, and he can even be heard saying that it was the worst day of his life. He also admits he was actually quite scared when he saw that the video was getting so much attention. Understandably so.

It’s nice remembering what it was like to be 15, isn’t it? Vandalize something then openly apologize for it and risk only having to pay for the damaged goods.

Speaking of which, Cudy says that if Apple wants compensation for the damaged phone, he and his friend will be selling some stuff to raise the 600+ quid ($970 / €771) to pay for the device. We have a hunch the Cupertino company won’t even bother with these two.

Listen to the recording below. Before you hit play, note that there’s some foul language in there. Quite a lot of it, actually. User discretion is advised.
