Chinese handset maker Xiaomi introduced its mid-range Android smartphone, the Mi 4C, a few days ago. However, the device is only offered for purchase in China, and there's little chance that Xiaomi will make it available worldwide.

While we do expect Xiaomi Mi 4C to arrive in other emerging markets like India, the smartphone won't be made available in Europe and North America.

The good news is those living in other countries where the Mi 4C won't be available for purchase will now be able to pre-order the smartphone.

Chinese online retailer Gearbest has just kicked off pre-orders for Xiaomi Mi 4C, so those interested in grabbing this device can do so for only $240 outright. It's also worth mentioning that the retailer offers free shipping.

Unfortunately, Gearbest will only start shipping Xiaomi Mi 4C pre-orders after October 30, which is quite a long time from now.

Last but not least, the enhanced version of Xiaomi Mi 4C, featuring 3GB RAM and 32GB internal memory, is available at Gearbest for $290 outright.

4G LTE and dual-SIM support

Both versions are available in both black and white and come preloaded with Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system right out of the box.

They are powered by a 1.8GHz hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, an Adreno 418 graphics processing unit, and either 2GB or 3GB of RAM.

On the inside, Xiaomi Mi 4c packs 16GB or 32GB of internal memory, which can't be further expanded since there's no microSD card slot.

The Mi 4c boasts a 5-inch OGS (One Glass Solution) IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution and 441ppi (pixel per inch) density.

Also, the smartphone boasts a 13-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, dual-tone LED flash, Sony IMX258 sensor, and full HD (1080p) video recording, as well as a secondary 5-megapixel camera on the front.
