The team at Microsoft in charge of the Xbox One is continuing its long-term efforts to make the console more attractive to gamers by running yet another promotion that is set to last until February 15 and is linked with the President's Day event that celebrates the births of the Founding Fathers.

Gamers can head to the official online store of the company in order to get access to the platform itself as well as a free game, chosen from The Crew, Watch Dogs and Assassin's Creed: Unity, as well as a 75 dollars (65 Euro) gift code that can be used for any other title on the store.

There's a wide range of Xbox One deals that the offer applies to, with those who do not yet own a console able to pick up The Master Chief Collection bundle, Gears of War: Ultimate, Rare Replay, Ori and the Blind Forest, Rainbow Six Siege, Forza Motorsport 6, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Dance Central, Kinect Sports Rivals.

Microsoft is offering both the 500 GB and the 1 TB versions of the home console for gamers interested in getting a new device.

The Xbox One President's Day offer is a very solid one and highlights once again the company's willingness to significantly slash the price of bundles to get the platform into the hands of as many gamers as possible.

At the moment, external estimates, including one from Electronic Arts, are suggesting that the total sales for the Microsoft device are under the 20 million unit mark and are not climbing as fast as the company might want them to.

Xbox One is relying on exclusives during 2016

On April 5 of the year, Microsoft and Remedy are planning to launch Quantum Break, the first big exclusive title of the year for the home console, which has repeatedly been delayed to make sure that it offers impressive gameplay and story.

This year players should also have access to Gears of War 4, the first title in the franchise to be created from the ground up for the Xbox One, which will introduce an entirely new narrative linked to the world as well as a focus on cooperative mechanics.

According to Microsoft, there are no plans to introduce a new price cut for the home console during 2016, although there are plans to continue introducing bundles that are very attractive for those who do not yet own a console.

The company will also continue the effort to integrate the Xbox One with the Windows 10 ecosystem, adding more ways for devices to interact with each other.

Meanwhile, Sony is enjoying the lead regarding sales for current-gen consoles, with the PlayStation 4 over the 36 million units sold mark.

The Japanese hardware manufacturer says that it will also focus on adding more value to its device rather than on introducing a price cut and that it will continue to work with big franchises like Call of Duty and Destiny to secure exclusive access to some content.
