The team at Microsoft in charge of the Xbox One is announcing yet another bundle that gamers will be able to pick up, which introduces three additional games for the player and offers them access to one of the most modern versions of the hardware.

Gamers will be able to get it for 399 dollars or Euro and it will become available on October 28 both in partner stores and on the official site, where a pre-order can already be placed.

The Holiday Bundle includes:

- a 1 TB hard drive version of the Xbox One;

- the classic Xbox One wireless controller with 3.5mm headset jack;

- Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, which offers a remake of the first title in the series and will also offer access to the rest of the series via backwards compatibility;

- Rare Replay, a title that offers the full output of the studio with 30 core titles;

- a download code for Ori and the Blind Forest.

Microsoft has yesterday announced that gamers will also be able to get a Xbox One bundle built around Rise of the Tomb Raider, which gives gamers access to the first game in the rebooted series and special downloadable content pack.

More announcements are coming this week

Microsoft says that more reveals about special packages for the holiday season will be delivered during the rest of the week.

The company is basically betting on the fact that the extra value delivered by the bundles will persuade a range of players to get an Xbox One, especially if they have not previously bought a current gen console.

Meanwhile the strategy for Sony is to promote the idea that the PlayStation 4 is offering better overall value.

The company is also securing exclusive DLC linked to big launches including Assassin's Creed: Syndicate and Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.

At some point in November, the Xbox One will also get access to the new user interface that's built around the Windows 10 operating system and before the end of the year backwards compatibility for Xbox 360 titles should also be activated.
