The development team at Crystal Dynamic, publisher Square Enix and platform holder Microsoft are announcing that they are preparing a special Rise of the Tomb Raider Xbox One bundle, which introduces a range of content that's aimed at those who are both fans of Lara Croft and have not yet picked up a new generation platform.

Gamers will be able to pick one of them up for 349 dollars or Euro and the content of the package includes:

- Xbox One with a 1 TB hard drive;

- a code to download Rise of the Tomb Raider;

- access to the Tactical Survival Kit Content Pack, introducing a new outfit for Lara Croft and one weapon skin to use

- a code for a download version of Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition, the High Definition remake of the reboot of the series that was launched in 2013.

Microsoft explains on the Xbox Wire that, "Rise of the Tomb Raider delivers a cinematic survival action adventure where you will join Lara Croft on her first tomb raiding expedition as she seeks to discover the secret of immortality. The Tactical Survivor Pack, available exclusively in the Rise of the Tomb Raider Xbox One bundle, equips Lara with a new outfit, upgraded abilities and spec-ops tactical gear taken from enemy forces."

Microsoft plans to reveal more bundles this week

The company aims to make the Xbox One the more attractive option for the holiday period for those who want to get a new piece of hardware for gaming.

The PlayStation 4 from Sony does have the lead in terms of sales both in the United States and on a worldwide level.

But Sony does not have any major exclusive titles arriving during the rest of 2015 and the delivery of solidly priced Xbox One bundles that feature interesting additional content might swing the momentum back to Microsoft.

The Sony device does have the advantage of getting exclusive content for other big releases, including Assassin's Creed: Syndicate and Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.

There are also rumors, which have been stocked by executives at Microsoft, that the PlayStation 4 will get a price cut before the end of the year although the company claims that it has no plans to implement such a move.
