The launch of the New Xbox One Experience is the most important event for the home console for the remainder of 2015, and the development team in charge of the deployment at Microsoft is eager to explain all the new features so that gamers can easily use them as soon as the changes are implemented.

In a new article on the Xbox Wire, Mike Ybarra, the director of program management for the console, says that the first major change that users will see is the new Home screen, which has been redesigned based on the information offered over time by users.

He explains, "You can scroll down to see the list of your most recently played games and apps, and each tile has contextual items that allow you to easily see messages straight from the developer, see which friends are playing games, and share your latest game clips and screenshots."

Gamers can also use Pins in the New Xbox One Experience to make sure that their most interesting content is linked to the Home screen, and Microsoft is also putting a special help file there to make sure gamers have all the info they need to use the improved interface.

The classic guide from the days of the 360 is also being re-introduced, accessible by tapping left in the Home screen and a video game by touching the Xbox one button, which allows the feature will be loaded to the screen without actually affecting gameplay.

The guide will give gamers fast access to their own Profile, to make changes or simply look at Achievements, Friends, to see who is online and check on other activity, Party, to start a group of 12 players that can tackle a challenge together, Messages, Notifications, Snap and Settings.

Ybarra says that a lot of tweaks have been made to the New Xbox One Experience based on the information that has been offered by those gamers who are in the Preview program.

All the new features will be introduced on November 12, and Microsoft has not yet said how big the update is and how long it will take to install in on a console once it has been downloaded.

During the remaining ten days, the company is still making small changes and eliminating problems that the community has been mentioning in order to make sure that the entire experience works as well as it can when it finally arrives.

On the same day, the Xbox One is also getting backwards compatibility for titles that were launched on the Xbox 360 and Microsoft claims that there are more than 100 titles that can be played as soon as the feature goes live.

The company believes that the upgrades, combined with the launch of titles like Halo 5: Guardians, Rise of the Tomb Raider and Forza Motorsport 6, means that a number of gamers will pick up the console in the run up for Christmas.

At the moment, the Xbox One is lagging behind the PlayStation 4 from Sony both in the United States and all over the world.
