Microsoft has just shared a wide array of details concerning its presence at the upcoming Gamescom 2015 event, confirming not only a special press briefing on August 4 but also its booth and FanFest activities that will take place in and around the large convention in Cologne, Germany.

Gamescom is among the biggest public gaming events in the world, as hundreds of thousands of fans from across Europe and even the globe flock to Cologne, Germany, every August for the big convention. The 2015 edition kicks off on August 5 for businesses and on August 6 for regular fans.

Microsoft is going to unveil big games and announcements

At this year's event, Microsoft has already pledged to make quite a few interesting announcements. Now, the large corporation confirms on the Xbox Wire all of its planned activities, from the initial press briefing to its booth at the show, and even the FanFest celebration.

First up, on August 4, right before Gamescom 2015 kicks off, Microsoft is going to organize its Xbox Briefing event, where members of the media are invited to check out the latest announcements from its internal and external partners.

Big games, such as Quantum Break, Crackdown, and Scalebound will be showcased, as well as other exciting announcements about upcoming experiences for the Xbox One. While many were also discussed at E3 2015 last month, the three major titles skipped the Los Angeles event, and will only be premiered at Gamescom.

During the actual event, the Xbox booth will be open throughout the day, and offers fans the possibility of playing Halo 5: Guardians, Forza Motorsport 6, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and much more.

After the great success of the Xbox FanFest event at E3 2015 last month, Microsoft confirms that a second installment of the celebration is going to take place at Gamescom 2015, from Tuesday, August 4, to Wednesday, August 5. Expect more details as they get nailed down by the company.
