That's only a 1.3% increase since one month ago

It looks like Microsoft's new Windows 10 smartphones are very popular among customers in North America if we are to believe the latest reports that emphasized the fact that both Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL are sold out most of the time.

It's quite understandable for many Windows Phone fans who own an older flagship smartphone to want to upgrade to the new Lumia 950 or Lumia 950 XL.

The problem is that Microsoft's stocks can't cope with the high demand, which is why both Lumias are now hard-to-come-by products in North America.

The release of two flagships smartphones during Black Friday, after such a long time, seems to have left Microsoft's warehouses empty of any Windows 10 Lumias.

As more and more Windows 10 Mobile handsets will be launched on the market, the demand will probably reach the same level as the offer, but for now all Windows 10 smartphones will probably sell very fast.

Speaking of Windows 10 Mobile, it looks like Microsoft's new operating system is getting closer to the 10% threshold though there's still a long way until it reaches that milestone.

Some of you might not remember, but last month it was reported that Windows 10 Mobile was running on 5.7% of Windows Phone handsets available on the market. This month, AdDuplex confirms a slightly higher number for Windows 10 Mobile adoption: 7%.

Not that much of a progress

A 1.3% increase in market share for Windows 10 Mobile is quite low because Windows Phone 8.1 is still on 78.9% market share.

These numbers will start to change drastically in the next couple of months if Microsoft starts rolling out Windows 10 Mobile updates for current smartphones running older versions of the platform.

Next month, Windows 10 Mobile's adoption might increase by slightly more since the first Windows 10 smartphones have just been released on the market. But let's just wait until December and see how it goes.
