A few minutes ago, the developers behind the cross-platform and free Vivaldi web browser had the great pleasure of informing Softpedia about the release of a new snapshot build for all supported operating systems, including GNU/Linux, Mac OS X, and Microsoft Windows.

Based on the latest Chromium 47.0 web browser, Vivaldi Snapshot 1.0.330.3 is here to fix an issue with the Trash folder for bookmarks and notes, which now lets users undo any changes they make by mistake on their notes and bookmarks. Moreover, it also introduces the ability to hide panels that you don't want to see.

You wonder how the new panel hiding feature works? It’s simple, just right-click on the panel bar and uncheck the panels that annoy you. They will be immediately hidden - no need to restart the web browser. Additionally, the devs have added support for accessing the URL of a web panel, at the request of many Vivaldi users, which is now available via the panel's context menu.

"Today's snapshot adds a trash folder to bookmarks and notes, and added the ability to show which panels to display," said Ruarí Ødegaard. "We also fixed a handful of long-standing bugs, some highlights being adding the missing Up (stop loading) mouse gesture and giving you the chance to clear your closed tabs list."

Fixes, lots of bugfixes

As expected from any new snapshot build of the Vivaldi web browser, the team of hard-working developers behind the project has managed to squash many of those annoying bugs reported by users since the previous snapshot release of the web browser. Among the most important things, we can mention the addition of a missing Up mouse gesture.

Those who like to run bleeding-edge software can download Vivaldi Snapshot 1.0.330.3 for GNU/Linux, Mac OS X, and Microsoft Windows operating systems right now from Softpedia. Please keep in mind that this is a pre-release version, not suitable for deployment in production environments where stability is of the essence.
