It looks like the Vivaldi development team had a great time during their Icelandic breakout, and the latest snapshot build proves just that, as it adds a huge number of changes since the previous milestones.

Vivaldi Snapshot 1.0.403.15 was released on February 24, 2016, and according to Ruarí Ødegaard, Linux QA and Testing at Vivaldi, the team managed to add a new feature to the upcoming web browser, namely session management for tabs.

The new session management feature promises to allow users to save their currently opened tabs as a session, which they can name however they want and access whenever they need.

A more detailed explanation on how the new session management for tabs feature works, along with sample screenshots, is available in the release notes, which we recommend reading in full.

"We have been a little quiet of late and you might have wondered what we were up to. Well, we were busy killing bugs and adding more settings and features, just like always," says Ruarí Ødegaard in the announcement.

Vivaldi Beta 3 to arrive very soon

Among other interesting changes that make it into the Vivaldi Snapshot 1.0.403.15, we can mention startup speed improvements, as well as the addition of a new "Use Tab Zoom" option under the Webpages section of the browser's section.

Moreover, there are now a new tab Hibernation option, which might save a lot of system resources when using multiple tabs, a Pesticide CSS layout debugger, and a background tab progress indicator, which you can see in action in the GIF attached below.

While early adopters can now download Vivaldi Snapshot 1.0.403.15 for GNU/Linux, Mac OS X or Microsoft Windows operating systems, the team informs all users that a third Beta build of the upcoming web browser will be released very soon.
