Bodyguards react quickly, Wintour remains unfazed

The name of Vitalii Sediuk might ring a bell, but it’s not for reasons other people would take pride in: he is a Ukrainian journalist and so-called prankster who targets and ambushes celebrities at red carpet events. Security is more lax there.

So far, he’s had this kind of encounters with Will Smith, Leonardo DiCaprio, Bradley Cooper, America Ferrera, Kim Kardashian and Ciara, all of them duly reported in the media.

However, the one that got him the most attention and a ban on all red carpets where Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are present, occurred in the summer of 2014, when he accidentally knocked Pitt’s sunglasses off his face at the “Maleficent” movie premiere.

In other words, Sediuk’s idea of “fun” involves avoiding security, going over security barriers and creeping up on someone who is more than likely to freak out and / or get the scare of a lifetime.

He did it again this week, this time to Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour, at the Paris Fashion Week 2015. You can see the incident in the two videos below, shot from different angles.

To Wintour’s credit, she didn’t lose her cool or the smile on her face. To her bodyguards’ credit, they acted fast enough, so that Sediuk’s rude and totally not-funny gesture didn’t upset his target, Wintour, too much.

No word yet if Sediuk got into any kind of legal trouble for his latest stunt, but considering he can be seen walking away in the videos, it’s probably safe to assume he walked away scot-free.
