Paris Games Week allows Sony to offer fans of the PlayStation 4 a glimpse of its plans for the home console, and there's no bigger title coming to it in the next months than Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, the title that's supposed to end the Nathan Drake-powered series.

The official press conference gives the platform holder and developer Naughty Dog a perfect platform to offer a two-minute-long look at the multiplayer mechanics of the action game and the features that make it unique.

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End will encourage players to explore, create solid strategies and work with teammates to dominate the battlefield, using maps that are based on the entire history of the franchise.

Gamers will have the option to hire a Sidekick character that will offer support by deploying heavy weapons, reviving players who are taken out by enemies and by offering updates on where the opponents move towards.

The multiplayer for Uncharted 4: A Thief's End will also include powerful supernatural objects, including the cursed sarcophagus from El Dorado, the Chintamani stone from Shambala and the Djinn that Nathan Drake encountered in the lost city of Ubar.

Gamers who are interested in testing the core mechanics will be able to get into a beta period at the start of December if they get one of the keys offered with the recently launched Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection.

The feedback delivered will be used to improve the overall quality of the experience.

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End multiplayer is aiming for 60 FPS but a lower resolution

Naughty Dog says that it has decided to target 60 frames per second for the multiplayer modes, which means that the resolution will be only 900p on the PlayStation 4.

For the single-player campaign, the company wants to deliver 1080p resolution and only 30 FPS, in order to create some of the most impressive environments and views that the franchise has ever delivered.

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End will try to show a new side of Nathan Drake, who is retired at the start and only gets back into the treasure hunting game to help his long-lost brother, who has clues about a pirate buried treasure.

Naughty Dog says that it will deliver more emotional moments than ever before as the extensive cast of the series will be involved with this final adventure, which will ask gamers how much they are willing to sacrifice to make sure that their loved ones are safe.

The demos shown so far portray a more serious Nathan Drake and feature bigger locations than previous installments, with the main characters having access to more combat and exploration moves in order to traverse locations and take out enemies.

The development studio says that it will also launch downloadable content for the coming title, a premiere for the series, because of how well the DLC introduced for The Last of us was received.

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End will be out only on the PlayStation 4 on March 18 of next year.
