14 DAY TRIAL // Ubuntu Member José Antonio Rey was happy to announce the first ever UbuCon Europe conference for Ubuntu users and developers alike, which will take place later this year in Germany.
As you may well be aware, Canonical revived its popular Ubuntu Developer Summit (UDS) conference, which they've killed about three years ago and replaced with an online event called Ubuntu Online Summit (abbreviated UOS), under the name UbuCon last year in October.
The first UbuCon Summit event already took place earlier this year, between January 21-22, as part of the 14th annual Southern California Linux Expo a.k.a. SCALE 14x, which was held in Pasadena, CA, USA, but not many Ubuntu members could attend, especially those who live in Europe. As such, a team of dedicated Ubuntu members have put together the UbuCon Europe conference.
"We’re happy to announce the very first European Ubuntu Conference: the UbuCon Europe," said José Antonio Rey. "It is the first conference dedicated to the European Ubuntu community. We are looking forward to two days full of talks, workshops, exhibitions, and demos. And if that’s not great enough already, our venue provides us with food too!"
UbuCon Europe: when, where, how?
So, the first thing you need to know about the upcoming UbuCon Europe conference for Ubuntu users and developers is that it will take place between November 18-20, at the Unperfekthaus in Essen, Germany. Travel and accommodation details have already been provided by the UbuCon Europe team on the event's wiki page, along with detailed info about contributions from visitors and speakers.
