14 DAY TRIAL // Another week has passed, and Canonical's David Planella has sent in his regular report that informs us about the latest work done by the Ubuntu Community Team.
Therefore, we can report today that the hard-working people behind that Ubuntu Community Team at Canonical have managed to kick off preparations for the Ubuntu Global Jam event, which will take place next month, between August 7 and August 9, as well as to coordinate with the UbuCon Los Angeles and UbuCon Germany organizers.

The Ubuntu Community Team is also happy to report that the first Snappy Open House event announced at the beginning of the month, where Ubuntu users could learn everything they wanted to know about the new Snappy Personal technologies, was a complete success.
Furthermore, the Autopilot SDK (Software Development Kit) plugin has been published to Canonical's dedicated PPA (Personal Package Archive) for Ubuntu SDK, and Ubuntu Touch developers are invited to check it out. Also, the "Running Autopilot Tests" guide has been updated, and the "Scopes Functional" API reference and guide are now available on the quality page.

David Planella's email also mentions the fact that the Ubuntu Community Team has managed to successfully create the new core apps contributor pages, and that users are now able to install most of the Ubuntu Touch apps on a computer where the Ubuntu Linux Desktop operating system is running, in order to test convergence.
Last but not least, work continues on developing a new docviewer app for Ubuntu Touch that integrates a fully functional LibreOffice viewer. The developer documentation was updated as well in the last week, including the Snappy Filesystem layout guide.
