14 DAY TRIAL // Canonical is ready to release a new version of Ubuntu, 15.10, and it's doing some final testing. The new version should arrive in just a couple of days.
Ubuntu 15.10 (Wily Werewolf) will be released in a couple of days and it looks like things are right on track. Most of the issues have been fixed, although it's quite possible that some other smaller problems will be corrected afterwards. Users should also know that Ubuntu 15.10 will only get support for nine months, so if you don't want to drop your current Ubuntu 14.04 LTS installation, you can resist for a few more months and get the next LTS version which is scheduled for April 2016.
We have already covered what's new in Ubuntu 15.10, but that wasn't all that difficult to do. It will look pretty much the same like Ubuntu 15.04, but with a few subtle differences. For example, users will find that some new and shiny scrollbars from GNOME upstream have been implemented, but that's pretty much it for visual stuff. A lot of the work has been done under the hood, as usual.

You don't have to wait until launch day to get the new version. You can either upgrade from the old one or you can download the latest development release and keep it updated.
