iOS 9 was released a week ago, and new features see the light of day, making it even more obvious that Apple put a lot of effort into making the iOS platform snappier and more user-friendly.

As discovered by hayden_evans on Reddit, it's Touch ID's time to make an appearance under the spotlight with its ability to help users authenticate when accessing their iCloud Keychain in iOS 9.

If you need to quickly log into your iCloud Keychain, and you have an iOS device running iOS 9, now you can use the Touch ID feature to authenticate with a simple tap on the Home button.

Moreover, once you enter the iCloud Keychain interface, you will also be able to quickly pinpoint the password you need using a newly added search form at the top of the password list.

For example, if you need to log into a website while browsing the web using Safari, to access the iCloud Keychain, you just have to tap in the password input area, tap on "Passwords" below, on the "Other Passwords" option that pops up right away, touch the Home button, and you should have access to all your passwords saved in the iCloud Keychain.

This way, you will no longer have to enter the huge password you most probably set up when you configured your iCloud Keychain, but instead, you will be able to do it a lot faster using the Touch ID feature.

Furthermore, once you enter the iCloud Keychain interface via the Settings > Safari > Passwords route, you will also be able to enter new passwords manually by tapping on the "Add Password" button.

Even though manually entering your passwords into the iCloud Keychain works perfectly, a nice addition would be an integrated password generator that would make using third-party password managers old-fashioned.
