Apple is reportedly working on a smaller iPhone

Rumor has it that Apple is hard at work to bring a smaller iPhone to the market, and according to people close to the matter, the launch could take place as soon as March.

But while Apple remains tight-lipped on everything regarding the new model, which many people think will be called iPhone 6c, some designers across the world used the available information plus their very own creativity to come up with renders that imagine what a smaller iPhone could look like.

And this is the case of the concept created by Ferry Passchier and published by 9to5mac.

As you can see for yourselves, these renders imagine a smaller iPhone that looks just like the bigger iPhone, but the only difference is that they’d be available in many more colors. In fact, that’s actually one of the distinctive features of the iPhone 6c lineup, as Apple is looking for a more diversified color palette for this more affordable model.

Metal case and 4-inch screen

But although more colors are likely to be available, do not expect pink to be that pink, as Apple is generally looking into softer tints that do not hurt your eyes.

Other than that, the smaller iPhone is likely to come with a 4-inch display and be powered by the A9 processor. The entry-level model will come with 16B of storage and feature Touch ID, 2 GB of RAM, and NFC for Apple Pay.

Rumor has it that the phone could come with a 1,642 mAh battery, which should actually get you through the day with no problem at all. Pricing could start at approximately $500 (€465) and could go higher as opt-in for more storage.

The launch is expected to take place in March, with sales to begin approximately one month after that, ahead of the debut of iPhone 7 scheduled for the summer.
