The voice actor says he will not be involved

The Metrocon panel that Nolan North was part of continues to be a source of information about unreleased video games, with the voice actor confirming that the development team at Naughty Dog is working on The Last of Us 2, although he made clear that he would not be involved in the story in any way.

There's no information about the narrative that the title will offer and no suggestion about the moment when it will be officially revealed by Sony.

Nolan North was just answering a question from a fan, and he seems to only have basic knowledge about the development process.

The Last of Us 2 was previously mentioned in the CV of a character artist from Naughty Dog and the studio never denied rumors about the sequel.

Given the success of the first title, which was offered on both the PlayStation 4 and the PS3, Sony would be more than happy to get another title that features the same world in the coming years.

However, The Last of Us 2 was not yet officially revealed, and the company might be getting ready to first show it off before the end of this year, while the actual launch might take place in 2017.

Naughty Dog is at the moment focused on the work required by Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, which is set to arrive during the first quarter of 2016.

Nolan North also talked about Star Wars and Amy Hennig

The voice actor explained that the coming video game that Visceral Games was developing for the Star Wars universe was inspired by both the Uncharted series and the now-canceled Star Wars 1313 effort from LucasArts.

Apparently, when Amy Hennig left Naughty Dog, more than eight months of work linked to Uncharted 4 were scrapped.

At the moment, Sony needs to get more exclusives for the PlayStation 4, even if they are not arriving in the next few months.

Microsoft has been heavily promoting Halo 5: Guardians, Forza Motorsport 6 and Rise of the Tomb Raider, all of which are set to arrive on the Xbox One before the end of the year.

Uncharted 4 looked great during its own E3 2015 demo, but the game will not be around to boost sales during the coming Christmas season.
