Live up to a programmer's challenge and start a trend

The guys at Rock, Paper, Shotgun found the first game that can fit a single tweet!

Named Tiny Twitch, the micro game was created by Alex Yoder in response to a challenge by developer Ben Porter who's working on the indie game Moonman.

As you can see, all you have to do is click on an "X" on a screen fast enough until you gather more points, the point being to get more points than other players. The "X" reappears on another part of the screen the moment you select it so it's obvious you must have quick reflexes.

Alex Yoder has apparently tried to tidy up his code and make it bug free, so the link you're clicking right now is actually an improved version. Below you can find the original version.

The funny part is that people rarely manage to pass 19 in one pass; however, lots of Alex Yoder's followers are claiming that a bug within the code allows the player to reach enormous scores by clicking the "X" after the final score message pops up.

Of course this game won't beat any real video game blockbusters out there, but this just shows how much human creativity can overcome even the most extreme limitations to be highly imaginative. A game within a 140-character limit? Damn impressive.

To play this game, you can also copy the entire code on any .txt file, save it as .HTML and drop it in any browser to work.

P.S. Click on Ben Porter's tweet and check out more mini games submitted by programmers from across the world. Enjoy!
