Readit is now available on Windows 10 Mobile too

Readit was, is, and will most likely continue to be the best Reddit client for Windows Phone, and since the new Windows 10 Mobile is just around the corner, Caleb Keith, the developer of the app, is now focusing a lot more on the Universal Windows Platform.

After having recently launched the client on Windows 10 PCs, the dev has released the Windows 10 Mobile version too, thus going all in on universal apps designed to run on devices powered by Microsoft’s new operating system.

Just as expected, the new Windows 10 Mobile version of Readit comes with several improvements, so after installing 1.5.1.0, you should be able to vote from the post viewer, see previews for GIFs, and use the back button to close the sidebar instead of minimizing the app (the full change log can be found in the box after the jump).

More improvements planned

According to WindowsCentral, the developer of the app is already planning to further improve the app, but it obviously takes time until a new version of Reddit arrives with all these goodies.

For example, Caleb Keith said that “adding/Removing Friends and Composing messages from inbox & profiles are coming in the next update. I will also be updating the Desktop application with the next update after this one. I will also add an option for loading comments while viewing a post's content (or before scrolling down) which will be turned off by default (for mobile devices) for performance reasons.”

Having a universal Reddit client on Windows 10 obviously comes in handy to those who have both a Windows PC and mobile phone, and Readit is undoubtedly one of the best choices.

Obviously, you can always give it a try if you want to see what is all about, so go ahead and download Readit for Windows 10 right now. We’ve already tried it on both PC and mobile preview builds of Windows 10 and it really works like a charm.
