The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt developer CD Projekt Red confirms that it's going to reveal the changelog for the upcoming patch 1.08 for the sprawling role-playing game later today, July 31. A few details are already available but no word on when the update might actually launch.

The Witcher 3 has received all sorts of different updates, patches, and free DLC packs from CD Projekt Red ever since its debut on May 19 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One platforms. The RPG got plenty of different new features and bug fixes during all these months, and one of the biggest arrived with patch 1.07 a few weeks ago.

Update 1.08 is getting a changelog soon

Now, after confirming that it's working on yet another major update, CD Projekt Red Community Manager Marcin Momot announces on Twitter that the studio will present the changelog for The Witcher 3 patch 1.08 later today, July 31.

The major update is expected to solve some of the problems that appeared after patch 1.07 launched a few weeks ago, and Momot offers a few more details while talking with fans.

First up, it seems that the Black Pearl quest is finally going to receive a fix so that players can actually get to save Nidas and complete it successfully.

Unfortunately, it seems that the previously promised enhanced dialogue option for the Triss romance route isn't going to be included in the upcoming update. The studio mentioned previously that it wanted to flesh out some conversations to make romancing Triss, as opposed to Yennefer, a bit more compelling.

It's also expected that the actual patch 1.08 will set the stage for the New Game+ DLC, which is the last free add-on that's going to appear for the huge RPG soon enough.

Both update 1.08 and the free DLC might arrive next week. However, given CD Projekt Red's meticulous nature, they might end getting pushed back so that they don't end up causing more problems.

Update: Here's the official The Witcher 3 patch 1.08 changelog.
