Team Fortress 2, the online multiplayer game developed by Valve with Linux support, has received another update and it looks like it’s all about balancing.

The previous update for Team Fortress 2 has a couple of fixes that were really good for Linux users. One of the changes made by developers to the game actually reduced the memory usage on the Linux platform.

Unfortunately, the recent update is only here to repair some problems with balancing, so Linux users will have to wait a little bit more for another interesting Team Fortress 2 upgrade.

Even so, if you’re a dedicated player for Team Fortress 2, you’ll notice that there are a few important improvements that have been made to the game. Nothing too fancy, but enough to get things going.

Team Fortress 2 update is here, what’s new?

“An update to Team Fortress 2 has been released. The update will be applied automatically when you restart Team Fortress 2,” the announcement reads.

According to the changelog, players can now see the team names in the scoreboard on dedicated servers using tournament mode, the Nostromo Napalmer is no longer drawing the flamethrower pilot light by mistake, the Engineer's Wrangler contract is no longer updating points while the player is not an Engineer, the campaign stamp images in the scoreboard and win panel have been updated, and a number of various models and materials have been upgraded as well.

Team Fortress 2 features a large number of multiplayer modes, such as Capture the Flag, Control Point, Payload, Arena, King of the Hill, and more. Players can choose one of the nine classes: Scout, Soldier, Pyro, Demoman, Heavy, Engineer, Medic, Sniper, and Spy.

Check out the official announcement for Team Fortress 2 for more details about the update. As usual, users just have to start Steam and wait for the game to update.
